The UN is hinting that American troops should help out in Darfur. Too bad. We're busy in Afghanistan and Iraq and it's damn time that one of the other nations that make up the UN stepped up to the plate.
America feeds the world, supports the world, and defends the world and all we get for our trouble is BS from the countries that are feeding at our trough. Cut them off. They're already mad at us. What are they going to do? Hate us more.
The gentleman that Vice-President Cheney accidentally shot is a private citizen. His medical condition is nobody's business. He should tell his family and doctors not to release any information to the press. Can't you just hear the howls of outrage.
Along those lines, the oh-so-important Washington press corps is complaining that Cheney waited 18 hours before reporting the incident. That's nothing compared to the 30 hours it took Hillary to release Vince Foster's "suicide note" to hubby Bill, let alone the press. Why the delay? She had to find a good forger.
Those on the Left should be careful what they wish for. If all their calls for the resignation of Cheney bear fruit, President Bush would then appoint someone who just might want to run in 2008.
I personally would love to see Condoleezza Rice in the VP slot. I would also love to see her run for President. Whatever would the dimocrats do then.
Saw some complete and utter moron on one of the talk shows the other night, calling for the US to unilaterally disarm and and disband the military. According to this whiz, the military has done nothing good for us in the past 5 years and that "All in all, we would be in much, much, much better shape" without one. Three guesses what party he belongs to. Bonus points for where he's from.
Also saw Susan Estrich recently, looking way too wide-eyed, saying that Al Gore is not a future president. We can only hope.
