Just A Thought
The Catholic Church states that it paid out $467 million in 2005 in settlements and other costs related to the sexual abuse of children by the clergy.
The costs paid by the children and their families are incalculable.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D) "allegedly" struck a police officer when he asked her to go through a metal detector. Members of Congress don't have to go through these detectors, but McKinney wasn't wearing her Congressional pin and the officer didn't recognize her. McKinney has refused to apologize for assaulting a police officer and Rep. Nancy-Deer-In-The-Headlights-Pelosi said that it was no big deal.
Once again, dimocrats show their complete lack of respect for the people tasked with keeping them safe. If someone hit Pelosi in the chest, would she still think it was no big deal?

Reuters is reporting that a recent study failed to show the healing power of prayer. That's because people pray for what they want and when they don't get it, the say that prayer doesn't work.
The Lord's Prayer says "Thy will be done," NOT "My will be done."

The immigration protests in L.A. are entering Day 5, I believe. The people, many of whom are just ditching school, who are waiving their own flag and burning ours might just have overplayed their hand. Americans are - finally - waking up to the fact that illegal immigration is not just some harmless thing and that it might be time to rein it in. There is talk that since California once belonged to Mexico, they have the right to take it back. Listen up, morons. You lost California and can't have it back. You have no "right" to what you couldn't hang on to in the first place. Deal with it.
Neither Egypt nor Rome nor Greece commands the acreage they once did, and I don't see any of them out demanding it back.

It's raining again. We've already had 43 inches this season, the ground is saturated, and I'm just fed up with it.
On the bright side, things are greening up nicely.

God bless all who stand in harm's way that we might be free.
