Just The Best

The other day on a trip to the big city (okay, the biggest one around here), I happened to see three young men in desert khaki and regulation haircuts walking through the mall. When I came face to face with them, I said, "Thank you for serving your country." Boy, you should have seen their faces. They just glowed, and their smiles went from ear to ear. Each one of them thanked me before moving on.

Ten seconds, no more, but it was just the best!
