None Dare Call It Treason

CIA officer Mary McCarthy was fired after it was revealed that she was the one who leaked classified information concerning the CIA's rumored secret prisons in Eastern Europe.

This information was "allegedly" supplied to Dana Priest of the Washington Post, who wrote about CIA prisons in November and was just awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting.

Mary McCarthy was appointed by Sandy Berger during the Clinton administration. She previously worked for the National Security Council.

James Risen and Eric Lichtblau of the New York Times also just won Pulitzers for their reporting on the National Security Agency's eavesdropping of terrorists, which was also a classified program.

Want a Pulitzer? Just commit treason. What a country!
