The Week Is Starting Off With A Bang
* Looks like we're in for another batch of immigration rallies. At least one school in D.C. is giving its students credit for ditching school to attend a rally. I say that we line up all the buses we can, surround all the marchers, check their ID, and put whoever is here illegally on those buses and send them home.
This isn't a question of race, this is a question of law. We're either going to enforce the law or we're not. If we're going to let illegals break the laws, then why not bank robbers? rapists? murderers?
* San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who apparently has no compunction about breaking laws he doesn't agree with, so much for his oath of office, has signed a resolution sponsored by Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval (him again!) and passed unanimously by the Board of Supervisors urging San Francisco law enforcement not to comply with criminal provisions of any new immigration bill.
Back in 1989 the Board of Supervisors made San Francisco a "City of Refuge," forbidding the use of city resources to enforce federal immigration laws or to gather or disseminate information regarding the status of city residents. The resolution was reaffirmed in January.
From here on out, Frisco should not get one thin dime in federal money. Let's see how the limousine liberals like the consequences of their actions.
* Ben Affleck, who probably thinks that people receive his pronouncements with the appropriate awe, recently appeared on Bill Maher's show, saying that President Bush is the one who "probably leaked" Valerie Plame's name and that that was treason and that President Bush could be hung. Maher, in case you're trying to place him, is the one who thinks it's funny to joke about the brutal beheadings in Iraq.
Since Bob Novak was the one who first mentioned Valerie Plame's name, why doesn't somebody just ask him? The special prosecutor apparently thought it was a better use of taxpayer millions to ask everyone but Novak and bring an indictment against someone for something that wasn't even related to this alleged breach of national security.
Just for the record, according to all the real evidence, not that drivel put forward by the MSM who hates Bush, Valerie Plame was not a covert agent for the CIA and releasing her name didn't break any laws.
* Al Bore is at it again. He spoke to an "environmentally friendly" group in Oakland to say that "the end is near." That's right. The planet is doomed because Americans are creating global warming. Apparently, no other nation on the planet is causing global warming. It's just us, and we're going to destroy the planet.
I'm willing to bet that Al the Unhinged did not walk to Oakland.
And while we're on the topic of global warming, I would like to take this time to state that, where I live, it snowed in April. And, we're still waiting for the rain that the weather prognosticators said there was a 70% chance of yesterday. When these people can predict the weather with any kind of accuracy, I just might start listening to what they have to say on global warming.
* John "Boo-Boo" Kerry wants our troops out of Iraq, is against a nuclear strike against Iran, and is in favor of a censure of President Bush. It's easy to tell what this man's positions are: just look at what President Bush is for and you'll discover what Kerry is against, before he's for it. Or is he for it before he's against it? Who knows. One can get whiplash listening to that guy.
