Throw The Bums Out

The ugly bastard in charge of Iran has stated unequivocally that he will use oil as a weapon should the world not kiss his ass and let him develop nuclear weapons.

This is what the leaders of our country have brought us to. Because of their outright refusal to let us become energy independent, they have literally put us over the barrel.

These morons - who haven't given a rat's ass for anyone but themselves since the day they first took office - refuse to allow us to explore, drill, or refine. These complete and utter disgraces have kept us dependent on foreign sources because they were and are too stupid to recognize what a danger that was and is.

They pay homage to the environmental nuts among us who claim to be concerned about the environment but, in fact, are just a bunch of hypocrites. What fuels their vehicles? It's oil my friend, and it's got to come from somewhere. They don't care that it comes from foreign sources because their concern for the environment doesn't extend to countries populated by people they don't care about, because, who cares what happens in those countries. Like I said, what a bunch of hypocrites.

Recently a dimocrat friend of mine uttered the immortal line, "We went to war for oil." I came back with the usual comment, "No we didn't, or we wouldn't be paying $3.50 a gallon." I should have said, "So what if we did." Like it or not, oil is what makes the world go round. It runs our vehicles. It runs the trucks that bring the food to the market. If we went to war to get some, then good for us.

Face it, folks. Until the world runs out of oil, there is not going to be any serious R & D into alternatives. We are going to stay dependent until such time as the last drop has been wrung from the earth. And then, maybe, alternatives will be looked into.

Kind of like finding a cure for cancer. As long as there's money to be had for research, there's never going to be a cure.
