Freedom of the Press
In free nations around the world, journalists are being prosecuted for revealing classified information. They excuse their despicable behavior by saying something along the lines of, "the people have a right to know." Which, of course, is crap.
With freedom comes responsibility, and these people are exercising copious amounts of the former with precious little of the latter. We know why the Lefties here in America are doing it. They hate President Bush, and they want him to fail. That is their goal and whatever they have to do to achieve it is okay by them. In their little minds, the consequences are well worth it if they can forever stain the Bush presidency. Such mentality shows not only astonishing short-sightedness but also terminal adolescence.
I would imagine that journalists in other countries are doing the same thing for pretty much the same reason. What better way to get even with a government you don't agree with than to hamstring its every move to keep you free.
Right now, we're locked in a struggle for our very existence. The radical Islamists want nothing less than our complete destruction. They have said so on more than one occasion. We must defeat them or America, and the rest of the free world, will cease to exist. How do these people, who so willingly give aid and comfort to the enemy under the guise of freedom of the press, envision their lives if we lose? What rights will we have then? Do they really think they will be able to make some kind of accommodation, or has the possibility of losing never even occurred to them? Are they that smug?
As the Fourth of July approaches, I thank God for the long, unbroken line of men and women who have been and are willing to put it all on the line so we can be free. We owe these people everything. It is for this reason that I don't understand why the Left is so rabidly anti-military and anti-Bush, when it is these very people who are continuing to make it possible for them to say and do the stupid things they so love to say and do. On this Fourth of July, find a veteran and thank him or her for your freedom.
America: strong, safe, and free or everything else is a moot point.

Hey Rox.
This is Slick. I'm a friend of George's. Keep up the good work. I am behind you 100% Wish I could shake your hand. I'd vote for you for President. I'm really worried about who we are going to get next. Heaven help us if Kerry or the Witch Clinton get in there. We are doomed. You take the words right out of my mouth with your commentary. It's interesting how much you think in the same lines as I do. George thought the same and said I should contact you. Thanks for your interest in our country. It's hard to find people in high offices that do. I belong to the Patriot Guard Riders and have the highest respect for our men and wormen in the armed services. We just attended a funeral service for a great Hero in Ukian, Calif. on Friday the 30th. It was beautiful. We are now planing to have the same kind of reception for our Hero's that are returning home---not in a coffin !! These boys are our future and we MUST take care of them. God Bless you and God Bless America !!
Slick
