Random Thoughts

Cindy Sheehan has bought property in Crawford, Texas, so she can be near President Bush. She thought, really thought, that he would have resigned by now. For Cindy Sheehan to think that the President of the United States, Leader of the Free World, would resign because of her indicates that she no longer has any connection to reality. When President Bush is gone, the Left will no longer have any need of her. What will she do then.

Mel Gibson got popped for a DUI. Apparently, he made a bunch of anti-Semitic comments during the process. He has now apologized for those remarks. Still, there are those wondering about his "future" in the industry. He made about $300 million from his movie "The Passion of the Christ." Why does he need a future in Hollywood now.

The gentleman running against Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) is running on one thing: opposition to the war in Iraq. Apparently, he doesn't know a whole lot about anything else. And, if he's against the war in Iraq, sounds like he doesn't know a whole lot about it, either.

Speaking of the war in Iraq, people are complaining about how long it is taking. Well, if we had been allowed to do it right, it would have been over by now. But war has rules nowadays, one of which is not to hurt anybody or anything, but that's not my point. We've still got troops in Bosnia where Bill Clinton sent them for what was supposed to be only one-year. Why isn't anyone complaining about that.

The American death toll from 39 months of war in Iraq is about 2,800. The American death toll from 39 months of motor vehicle accidents in America is about 129,987. The American death toll from 39 months of medical malpractice in America is about 162,474. The American death toll from 39 months of adverse prescription drug reactions in America is about 324,987. And yet you don't hear a word about banning cars, doctors, and prescription drugs. Why is that.

America: strong, safe, and free or everything else is a moot point!
