Why Can't They Just Shut Up!
The media is all over Cindy Sheehan like white on rice. You'd think with North Korean aiming a nuclear missile at Hawaii they'd have something else to report on. Alas, no.
Last night she treated us to the usual left propaganda that US soldiers are raping Iraqi women. In the 3-1/2 years of this war, I know of only one allegation of rape by a US soldier. Meanwhile, according to the National Victim Center, 683,280 women in America are raped every year. If the soldier in question is guilty, I hope he fries.
The whining continued with "Iraqis are getting killed on their way to market." Well, over 40,000 people in America die every year in car accidents. I'm sure that some of them were on their way to the market. Maybe some of the 16,000 that were murdered last year were on their way to the market.
And, of course, don't forget the one about Iraqis not having any fresh water. A lot of them didn't have fresh water under Saddam, but a lot more do now thanks to US soldiers.
After Cindy Sheehan, there was the ever reliable Al Sharpton, who seemed to be having a slurring problem. The best his little mind could come up with was the "fact" that the majority of Americans are against this war. If that's true, it's because the MSM spends all its time reporting on the bad news, almost to the complete exclusion of the good news.
If the media would do its job and report news, not just their leftist propaganda, the American people and the world would hear of all the good things happening in Iraq and the polls of "popular opinion" that the media uses to beat President Bush over the head would be quite different.
But that won't happen. The 60's leftovers that dominate the media want America to lose. They want another Vietnam. And they want President Bush to end up in disgrace like President Nixon.
Not one of these nitwits seems to have any idea of the consequences, as if their lives would go on unchanged under a totalitarian Islamist regime.

P.S. Al Sharpton said he was going to fast for 3 days in support of Cindy Sheehan's fast. He could stand to go longer.
