BP Oil announced today that it found corrosion in one of its pipes and must close down.

I don't think so. Close down the pipe, lessen the supply, jack up the price. Put this together with the threats from the farce of a leader in Iran, and you can see where this is going.

However, we shouldn't place all the blame on the profiteers and butt-ugly morons of the world. Had the combined IQ of all members of Congress been anywhere near double digits, they would have seen the need for America to become energy independent years ago. Then we wouldn't have to listen to economic doom prognostications with every little bump in the road.

But, no. Congress has been too busy laying the groundwork for the fall of America to do anything else.
