They Eat Their Own

It was just 6 short years ago that Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) was on the dimocrat party ticket as its vice-presidential candidate.

However, he made the most fatal mistake a dimocrat can make: he agreed with President Bush on the most important issue of the day. To the radical Left, that is the unforgivable and they worked for his defeat.

Al Gore, who put him on the ticket, refused to endorse him. Some dimocrats came right out and refused to endorse him, others hedged their bets and said they would support the dimocrat candidate.

The anti-war left is beginning its re-emergence. That's not really such a bad thing for us right-wingers. The anti-war McGovern got simply clobbered in 1972 by Richard Nixon, who then threw everything away, giving us Jimmy Carter, who was so bad that we got 12 years of Republicans.

Let the radical Left come back. Let them rant and rave and say stupid things. Let them do their best to turn people against the war in Iraq, which even the terrorists say is the front in the war on terrorism. When they have succeeded in turning the tide, America will pull out of Iraq. All of the blood and treasure spent will have been for nothing. Then, terrorists will have a country and an oil supply and will be stronger than ever.

Then, when a dirty bomb or worse goes off in an America city or cities, then what? These people hate President Bush so much that they're willing to do anything to defeat him. They don't even understand what we're up against, but they're sure they'll be able to fix it if they can just get rid of Bush. God help us if they win in November and/or in 2008.

How do they envision their lives if we lose this war on terrorism? Do they really think they'll be able to reach an accommodation with the bloody butchers of allah? Do they really understand so little?
