What Price Restraint

Israel and its strongest ally - US - have nuclear capabilities. We have it in our power to, once and for all, put an end to the yapping dogs of the mid-East and their delusions of grandeur.

And yet we forbear. Why is that? The rest of the world already hates us, even though we're the first country they come running to when bad things happen. We're the first country they'll come running to when the flag of islam is flying over their capitals when their stupid pacifist, can't-we-all-just-get-along appeasement policies have failed.

Stupidity - or insanity, either works - is defined as doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result. Voices are being raised that say we should try diplomatic means, even though decades of diplomacy in the mid-East have gotten us exactly nowhere.

We feed the world. We defend the world. We support the world. We stretch our resources - and our citizens' good will - to the breaking point time without number. And, like spoiled children, the nations of the world have come to expect this rather than be grateful for it. For some reason, it's always America's responsibility to fix things, therefore, it's always our fault when things go wrong. The rest of the world has abdicated their responsibility.

We have nothing to lose, and the world has everything to gain by using our maximum capabilities. If the cowards of the world don't like it, tell them to start taking care of themselves for a change.
