Hey, That's Our Job

Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) is outraged that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez came to the U.N. and bashed President Bush. He said, "You don't come into my country, you don't come into my congressional district, and you don't condemn my president. If there's any criticism of President Bush, it should be restricted to Americans - whether we voted for him or not."

Let me see if I've got this straight. At the very same time that Congress is considering giving terrorists - the very people who want to kill us and destroy our nation - the same constitutional rights as us Americans, this particular Congressman is against free speech for the president of another country.

Who's the bigger threat: terrorists or a Bush basher?

Sorry, that was a trick question. The biggest threat is Congress because, collectively, it's too stupid to see that terrorists are the bigger threat.
