The Opposite of Right is Wrong
Speaking in waiting Nancy Pelosi recently said, “The gavel of the Speaker of the House is in the hands of special interests, and now it will be in the hands of America’s children.” Who would have ever expected such profound honesty from a democrat.
Our soldiers, who are actually there on a daily basis, have said that it would be a disaster to pull out of Iraq. Even though the Shi’ite and Sunni Muslims are feuding, leaders from both have said it would be a disaster for America to pull out of Iraq. The leader of the Kurds has said that it would be a disaster. America’s generals have said it would be a disaster. Yet, within a week of Black Tuesday, there were two democrat senators calling for a withdrawal. But that’s how it is with children. They want what they want when they want it, regardless.
Another democrat wants to pass a bill that would make two years of some kind of military service mandatory for every American between the ages of 18 and 42. Just got that dream job? Gone up another rung on the corporate ladder? Just bought a new house and couldn’t make the payments on military pay? Too bad, it’s off to boot camp with you. But that’s how it is with children. They want what they want when they want it, regardless.
Another democrat again wants to socialize health care in America. America already has socialized health care. It’s called Medicare and it’s going broke. But that’s how it is with children. They want what they want when they want it, regardless.
Another democrat is refusing to cede the election even though he lost. Since he was ahead in the polls, he can’t be behind in votes. The other guy must have cheated. If pulling out of Iraq leads to greater chaos, it won’t be the democrat’s fault for pulling out, it will be President Bush’s fault for getting us there in the first place. The price of gas isn’t high because democrats have willfully spent decades refusing to allow us to drill for our own oil, the price of gas is high because oil companies are evil. And that’s how it is with children. It’s always someone else’s fault.
Yes, indeed, Congress is in the hands of children. Where are the adults?
