Where Would We Be?

The American war dead from Iwo Jima was 6,800 in 1 month.

The American war dead from Okinawa was 12,513 in 90 days. (Thousands more died later as a result of their wounds.)

The American war dead from Pelelieu was 10,500 in 2-1/2 months.

The exact American war dead from D-Day has not be calculated. Some estimates range as high as 4,900 dead in 1 day.

The American war dead from 3-1/2 years in Iraq is 2,853 as of November 13th.

Democrats are citing the high death rate in Iraq as justification for their cowardice and determination to cut and run, leaving Iraq to its fate and sullying every American who died in honorable service to his/her country. Although the consequences of a precipitous pull out will be theirs and theirs alone, they will blame everything on President Bush, fully aided and abetted by their playmates in the mainstream media.

If today’s Congress had been in control during World War II, we would all be speaking German and Charles Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, and Charles Levin wouldn’t even be alive, let alone making idiotic decisions that endanger America.

Very true... all of it, very true... and I say that very solemnly.
