Dear Ms. Boxer,

You recently said that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was incapable of understanding certain things because she didn’t have children. That’s not exactly how you said it, but that’s what you meant. It's more than unfortunate that Ms. Rice didn't have children. The world needs more people like her.

You stated that you are not going to pay a personal price for the war in Iraq because your children are too old and your grandchild is too young. It's exactly that kind of stupidity that's going to lengthen and deepen the war on terror, and most likely bring it to our shores again.

If we don’t eliminate the terrorist threat now, whether it’s in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, or wherever, your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren will be fighting it.

And they’ll have you, your short-sighted policies, and your hatred of all things Bush to thank for it.
