Just A Thought
Hillary Clinton, who believes that she has a divine right to the presidency, said that President Bush should “extricate our country” from Iraq before he leaves office because it would be “the height of irresponsibility” to pass the war on to the next President.
Apparently, it was the height of irresponsibility for her husband to pass the terrorist threat on to President Bush.
_____
John Kerry recently went to Switzerland to bad mouth President Bush. He said that the United States is a sort of “international pariah” and it’s all Bush’s fault. “When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we don’t advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy.”
The Kyoto Protocol was first submitted to the Senate during the Clinton administration, where it was defeated 95-0. George W. Bush was not in the White House, but John F. Kerry was in the Senate. So, in fact, it was John Kerry who defeated Kyoto and not George Bush.
With regard to AIDS in Africa, no less a Bush hater than the New York Times had this to say in 2005: “Mr. Bush has done much more for Africa than Bill Clinton ever did, increasing the money actually spent for aid there by two-thirds so far, and setting in motion an eventual tripling of aid for Africa.” In his recent State of the Union speech, President Bush said that “Because you (Congress) funded our Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the number of people receiving live-saving drugs (in Africa) has grown from 50,000 to more than 800,000 in three short years.”
Who’s really the duplicitous hypocrite here?
_____
John Warner has decided to speak out against President Bush’s plan for a troop surge in Iraq. Who cares? How seriously can you take a man who actually thought that Elizabeth Taylor was going to stay married to him?
_____
Where is Howard Dean? Why hasn’t he been out crowing about the democrat takeover of Congress? Isn’t he still chairman of the DNC? Whatever or whoever is responsible for shutting him up, Thank You!
